The Hamilton Foundation was established in December, 1989. The foundation is a 501c3 non profit organization. Initially established to benefit other 501c3 organizations, in recent years the foundation as focused on providing college scholarships to student athletes.

The foundation, which is based in Longwood , Florida, has recently established a new initiative designed to help both men and women navigate the difficult mid life period of menopause, mid life crises and the empty nest syndrome. The foundation's current mission is to provide resources and support primarily to men who have only a vague understanding of the life changing effect of hormonal shifts in peri menopausal and menopausal women of which there are currently in excess of 50,000,000 of in the United States .

The foundation provides educational material through its books, articles, workshops and seminars throughout the country. The foundation also serves as a resource base for other products and services that enable both men and women to understand and survive menopause and its resultant effects.

While the divorce rate for couples married over 20 years is among the fastest growing it is the foundation's hope that it may through its efforts help change this statistic and keep more marriages and families together through education and support.

Officers

Jim Vigue, Chief Executive Officer and Trustee
Jim Vigue is Chief Executive Officer and a director of The Hamilton Foundation, which he founded nearly 20 years ago.

Jim is a graduate of Colby College in Waterville , Maine, and received his MA from Duquesne University in Pittsburg and his MBA from the University of Dallas . Jim is a former Blue Chip Enterprise Award winner from the US Chamber of Commerce. He is also a former USA Baseball Major League Player's Association Coach of the Year. Jim has written three books, including the best selling baseball book, Peak Power Baseball. Jim's award-winning, Where Did My Wife Go? is his fourth book.

Jim is also the CEO of Matrix Capital Corp. which is a business consulting firm specializing in the natural health industry. Jim is a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
 
Alice Anderson, Trustee
Alice has been a director of The Hamilton Foundation for 12 years. She holds a B.A. in Theology, an M.A. in Communications, and a Ph.D. in Divinity.

A prolific writer and popular inspirational speaker, she has more than 35 years of experience in advertising, marketing and public relations with companies both large and small. She has authored 41 books since 1998, in several genres, and her journalistic excellence has won her praise and gratitude from many who have benefited from her work on their behalf. She has been a guest on several radio and television programs, as well as the featured speaker for hundreds of groups.

Jeff Edwards, Trustee
Jeffrey T. Edwards has extensive jury trial experience in Federal and State courts. He is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel.

Jeff was born in Aurora , Illinois , and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Colby College . He earned his master's degree in business administration from the University of Southern Maine and his law degree from Syracuse University College of Law in 1974. At Syracuse , he was research editor of the Law Review, and named to the Justinian Honor Society.

He joined the Bangor firm of Rudman, Winchell, Carter & Buckley in 1978. Two years later, he joined Preti Flaherty which has become one of New England' s largest and most respected law firms.

Ivy Gilbert, Chief Financial Officer
Ivy Gilbert has been Chief Financial Officer of The Hamilton Foundation for over 18 years. She is responsible for the foundation's financial and operational activities.

Ivy is a graduate of Thomas College in Waterville , Maine as well as Franklin Pierce University in Rindge , N.H. , where she was National Student of The Year. She is a versatile writer with over a dozen books that she has written for herself or ghostwritten for others. Ivy is also a former public company CFO and was featured in a cover story of The Maine Woman Magazine for her dedication to women's causes and her educational work in the financial area through her best selling book Women's Financial Wisdom.

Ivy is also CEO of GV Financial Group, a financial consulting firm that she has been involved with for over twenty years and a certified life coach with her company, Yurvita.
